It’s easy to look up the list of Nobel literature winners.,
And indeed, they are impressive writers.
However is that the standard you use to label an author “great”?
Is it the number of books written? (Georges Simenon – 570)
Their Goodreads rating? (J.K. Rowling – 4.44)
Number of Twitter followers? (Harlan Coben – 117k)
What makes us take notice of the writers that keep us coming back?
For me, it’s the writers that really transport me. Those writers that make me forget I’m sitting in bed reading and take me to the setting of their story are the ones I consider the best of the best.
Thank you to all the writers out there who create worlds we want to live in for a while…
….whether you have a Nobel Prize or not.
