Gail Honeyman’s novel Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine is a fantastic read. I flew through this book!
I don’t want to give too much away here, but this book is funny, sad, hopeful, endearing, and warm all at once.
A tightly wound tale takes you from Eleanor’s prim, punctual, and fine life to her chance meeting with the unkempt IT guy at her office, Raymond. When Eleanor and Raymond witness an elderly man have a medial emergency in the street, the event takes them both on a journey that teaches them that the only way to survive is to let people into your heart.
A newer book (published in 2017) that boasts membership in Reese’s Book Club, and soon to be a major motion picture produced by Reese Witherspoon, this book is definitely on my “You gotta read this book” list.
If you’ve read it – let me know what you thought in the novel.
