Running To Read “Run Away”

Last Tuesday I was extremely excited to buy a book.

(Well, to be honest, any time I get to buy a book is exciting!  And also, I don’t need a reason!)

But Tuesday is book-release day where publishers release new books to the general public, and I was heading out to purchase Harlan Coben’s new one titled Run Away.

I follow Mr. Coben on Twitter, have read several of his novels, and was ecstatic that the comments and reviews coming in for this book were very positive.  I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!

However…..

Upon doing a little internet research that morning, I found that I was a week too early.

[Insert SAD FACE here]

The book comes out on the 19th – not the 12th as I had thought.

I absolutely hate when that happens.  Total. Bummer.

I mean, it’s not like I’d have nothing to read this week *glances at my ToBeRead shelf* but c’mon!!

So, enough about my struggles as a book hoarder.  Here’s the blurb for Run Away:

A perfect family is shattered in RUN AWAY, the new thriller from the master of domestic suspense, Harlan Coben.
You’ve lost your daughter.
She’s addicted to drugs and to an abusive boyfriend. And she’s made it clear that she doesn’t want to be found.
Then, by chance, you see her playing guitar in Central Park. But she’s not the girl you remember. This woman is living on the edge, frightened, and clearly in trouble.
You don’t stop to think. You approach her, beg her to come home.
She runs.
And you do the only thing a parent can do: you follow her into a dark and dangerous world you never knew existed. Before you know it, both your family and your life are on the line. And in order to protect your daughter from the evils of that world, you must face them head on.

I’ve been a fan of Harlan Coben for years now.  The Myron Bolitar series is an excellent example of mystery novels that are funny and fun to read.  Mr. Coben’s stand-alone novels are gripping, thrilling, and are real page-turners.    Read one for yourself and you’ll be hooked!

Aside from being a #1 New York Times Bestseller, he also is the creator and executive producer of the drama TV show SAFE available on Netflix.    Find out more about him on his official website: http://harlancoben.com

Run Away is 384 pages long and will be available Tuesday (March 19, 2019) from Grand Central Publishing.  Barnes & Noble has a special edition that contains an interview with Mr. Coben, for those hard-core Cobin-Lovers.  The book has a 4.0 out of 5 stars on Goodreads right now, and I’m almost positive that number will climb after the general release.

Just so you know…..I’ll be busy Tuesday night.
