Books Everybody Lies About Reading


Everyone is a big fat liar.  Especially when it comes to discussing impressive books.

Chances are, if you call yourself an “avid reader”, you have been in a conversation where the subject turns to a book that you haven’t read.   Many books are now part of the social zeitgeist, and in fear of being left out of the conversation, or fear of being seen as uncultured and under-read, we pretend we’ve read books we haven’t.
